DESCRIPTION

Rebel Playhouse seeks four versatile performers to act as a repertory cast for an upcoming virtual play festival. The festival will feature four ten minute plays to be rehearsed and ultimately recorded via zoom, with shows being released once a week starting December 15th via private youtube link. Each performer will recieve a stipend of $200 for their participation in the festival.

For consideration, please e-mail [email protected] with the subject line VIRTUAL PLAY FEST SUBMISSION by Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020 at 11:00pm EST. All submission emails must contain the following:

1. General schedule/availability for the month of December
2. Headshot and Resume
3. Video audition consisting of: Slate (name, pronouns, location, fun fact about you), why you find theatre for young audiences exciting/important, and a 1 minute monologue/poem/piece that best shows YOU. Total video length should not exceed 2 minutes.

Melissa and Krysta are two gamer friends who have been crushing zombie heads together for years, but when the world goes into quarantine a sad revelation is made.

“Lily and Tessa’s Super Star Show, Episode 37” by Devon Hayakawa

It’s time for Lily and Tessa’s Super Star Super Special Show, and they’re going to revive all of their greatest hits (Avril Lavigne dance routines, Clueless monologues, and even some surprise poetry)! The only problem is that Lily still hasn’t shown up yet…and Tessa might have to do the whole show alone.

         

Tessa: Eleven-years-old. Optimistic, unique and loyal.
