Musical arrangements are by Felton Offard. Marshall Jones III, Director (pending approval) All tapes will be reviewed by the Director, Arranger and Producing Artistic Director. Approval to use Actors Equity Association actors is pending.
Virtual Rehearsal: September 29-October 4 In-person rehearsals (outdoors): October 6-14 Performances (5 held outdoors): October 15- 18
The production will be held outdoors at the Liberty Hall Museum, on the campus of Kean University.

1. FANNIE LOU HAMER – Female, Black, 40s. A charismatic actress and singer, she will address the audience and lead songs throughout the show, narrating her experience as a community organizer and civil rights leader.
Those auditioning for FANNIE should prepare: monologue from the play, and the songs This Little Light of Mine as well as Oh, Freedom, to be attached in responses to [email protected]
2. MUSIC MAN – Musician, Male, any age. He plays guitar and harmonica throughout the show and supports Fannie with some singing and audience engagement. BIPOC actors strongly encouraged to submit.
Those auditioning for MUSIC MAN should prepare: Guitar chords for This Little Light of Mine, (tabs to be attached in responses to [email protected] upon request), and 16 bars of a song of auditioner’s choice on harmonica. (Musicians and performers who can play both instruments are encouraged to apply; we will also auditions on only one instrument.)
