Rosehaven Production is eagerly seeking amazing professional and developing African-American screenwriters for a new 10-episode television series currently under development.
Characters are primarily based in Atlanta. The target viewing demographic is African-American females and males, ages 16-55. Primary genre types include but are not limited to: thriller, mystery, dark comedy and drama. Technical running time for each episode is approximately 30 minutes.
Selected freelance screenwriters must have the creative ability and capacity to transform the existing series concept and idea into masterful episodic scripts, with beautiful descriptions, compelling stories and dialogue that flows and resonates exceptionally well with diverse populations and trends within the African-American culture and community.
Terms of Employment
Selected freelance screenwriters are required to sign a Writer’s Agreement before work commences. Agreements stipulate that writers’ understand original stories, ideas, and characters are being created for the intellectual property and ownership of Rosehaven Productions. Writers will work remotely, and when necessary, writers will work virtually in a secured “Writers’ Room” via Zoom meetings. Compensation is $30 per page.
Strongly interested candidates should submit: a resume, short script (no more than 5 pages), and a director or writer reel (if available). Submissions due by August 24, 2020.
