Non-Equity singers, dancers, actors, and/or performers of any age, gender identity/expression, sexual orientation, race or ethnicity for an upcoming TYA touring production of Queer?! written by award-winning local playwright Rich Espey with music by Susanne Jones and Christina DeMaio.

Rehearsals begin April 8, 2020. With three preview performances scheduled at local Baltimore schools in May, 2020. 

Please note this commitment is for the rehearsal process and preview performances only. You need not commit to an entire tour schedule at this time.

All roles are offered a multi-hundred dollar stipend for the completion of the 3 performances currently scheduled in May, 2020.

Housing options are not available. Local actors required.

Submission Information
Auditions will be held via online submission only. For consideration, please submit a 2-minute comedic monologue and 16 bars of a song, from a published piece of theatre and/or a musical theatre selection of your choice that best shows off your range and ability. Both selections (in any order and/or cut) should not exceed three minutes in length. Please also include with your submission a digital headshot and resume. Portfolios/personal websites may also be submitted for review. No physical mailings please. Please submit all materials in one email to [email protected]. Submissions will be accepted until all roles are filled.

Rehearsals & Availability
Rehearsals will take place in Baltimore, MD at Loyola University Maryland five (5) days a week: four (4) nights during the weekday from 7:00pm – 10:00pm and one weekend day usually from 9:00am – 6:00pm. Exact rehearsal dates and times are specific to production needs and may vary based on the production itself. The above information should be used as a general guideline as you review your availability. Rehearsals will be held in late afternoons/evenings but actors must have daytime availability for performances.

Actors need to provide their own transportation to rehearsals and the three local performance sites in May, 2020.

Additional performances will be scheduled as the project continues beyond its workshop/preview stage.
