The Rev Theatre Company, formerly known as the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, located in Auburn, NY, seeks an experienced and enthusiastic Company Management 2nd Apprentice for the 2020 Season.

Candidate will thrive in an energetic and fast-paced environment.  Candidate must be proactive, able to multitask, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. Candidates will be expected to observe, practice, and uphold safe working procedures and conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience planning small events, managing a budget, and successful execution and management of daily tasks. Candidate will be comfortable performing all tasks required as part of the company management team including but not limited to:  furnishing, cleaning, general building maintenance on all company housing, arranging/supplying transportation, providing medical assistance including workers comp., and extending general support and hospitality to the theatre’s employees.

As the Company Management 2nd Apprentice, they will assist in the care of over 200 staff. They report directly to the Company Manager (CM) and Company Management Apprentice. They will assist with all company related communication while maintaining a positive attitude and promoting a strong company morale. Any other duties as assigned by the Company Manager. 

  • Arrange and coordinate small staff events

  • Arrange/purchase provisions for technical staff food table throughout technical rehearsal process

  • Maintain, track and file paperwork.

  • On-call in rotation with other company management staff  to handle emergencies that arise after hours

  • Provide shuttle services

  • Clean apartments and do laundry

Qualifications / Working Requirements / Compensation:

Minimum of a High School diploma/GED, Bachelor’s Degree preferred; ability and willingness to work long/varied hours in a fast paced environment; very organized, flexible and adaptable; upbeat and proactive approach; self-motivator with strong management and leadership skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; experience with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel); able to lift 50lbs; clean driving record.
