Iceberg Ahead! Embark on a hysterical musical voyage as Celine Dion casually rewrites history by recounting her priceless and indulgent interpretation of what happened aboard the Titanic. TITANIQUE turns one of the greatest tragedies of modern time into a ridiculous and joyful slayfest. Set to the music of Celine Dion, this musical romp is a clever, campy love letter to Celine and the 1997 classic Titanic.

Actors for principal roles in TITANIQUE (see breakdown).
CELINE DION (CAST) – Female, 30s-40s. The greatest singer in da whole world, Celine Dion is an angel descended from her own beautiful French Canadian planet. Charming, charismatic and endlessly kooky, she approaches life with the whim of a quirky ingenue that just arrived to Earth. Convinced she was actually on the Titanic in 1912 (and not just the singer of the movie’s iconic theme song), Celine takes the audience on a wild conspiracy theory that she was there the whole time and knows the real story. Celine uses her glorious voice and incredible catalogue of music to narrate one of greatest love stories of all time. MUST HAVE INCREDIBLE POP VOCALS AND EXTREMELY STRONG IMPROV CHOPS. (VOCAL RANGE: Belt to a D, Mix to an F#)
CAL HOCKLEY – Black, Latinx, Asian, Middle Eastern, North African, South Asian or Caucasian, Male, 30s. Cal is the beautiful villain aboard the Titanique. Engaged to Rose DeWitt Bukater, he will stop at nothing to marry Rose and live his life as a slightly abusive millionaire. Cal is a cold, bristling metrosexual who may or may not wear eyeliner. He can’t stand the thought of Rose falling in love with Jack Dawson, a sewer rat in the lower class bunks. The rivalry between the two bros continues to worsen until eventually, Cal goes crazy with jealousy and puts a hit on Jack’s life. Cal is the epitome of a refined douchebag with a creepy, Count Dracula vibe. Looking for a LEADING MAN with STRONG POP VOCALS AND IMPROV ABILITY. (VOCAL RANGE: Tenor, Belts to an A)
JACK DAWSON (CAST) – Male, 20s-30s. Jack Dawson is one of the star crossed protagonists aboard the Titanique and hell bent on living his life like it’s golden. An artistic genius with not a penny to spare, he winds up on the Titanique after winning a hand of poker and making a dorm room out of his third-class bunks. He meets Rose Dewitt Bukater, and within only a few days, falls madly in love with her, paints her naked, ruins her marriage, etc. Jack is effervescent, can talk to a bag of rocks and is a walking poster for living, laughing and loving. He is an old fashioned sk8er boi and Rose is a vintage Avril Lavinge. Looking for a leading man with INCREDIBLE POP VOCALS AND STRONG COMEDY/IMPROV SKILLS. (VOCAL RANGE: Baritenor, belts to an F#)
ICEBERG BITCH AND OTHERS – Black, Male OR Female, 20s-40. The Iceberg Bitch is the personified Iceberg on the Titanique and she came here to slay. Literally. She’s a Tina Turner/RuPaul hybrid of fierceness ready to take the ship down with her insane riffing. The Iceberg Bitch doubles as multiple characters in Titanique, including a Tour Guide, Irish Lady, Seaman, Violinist in String Quartet and Peabo Bryson. Must be able to differentiate each character with big, bold choices. Looking for comedy and improv chops. Must have INCREDIBLE GOSPEL vocals and the ability to riff. (VOCAL RANGE: Belts to A D and Beyond, High strong Pop Mix).
UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN – Black, Latinx, Asian, Middle Eastern, North African, South Asian or Caucasian, Female, 30s-40s. Brassy, sassy, and only sometimes classy, Molly Brown’s got a big heart, an even bigger personality and vocal chords of goddamn steel. She’s a voluptuous gal who has been there and done that with your uncle. She doesn’t give a damn about what anyone thinks of her. As the mama of the Titanique, she offers Rose and Jack sage wisdom to bring them together, and even provides Rose with some much needed sex tips. A total know-it-all, Molly’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but she damn sure spills it whenever she pleases. MUST HAVE INCREDIBLE POP VOCALS and STRONG IMPROV SKILLS. (VOCAL RANGE: Belts to a D, Mixes to a G)
RUTH DEWITT BUKATER – Female played by a male, 30s-50s. The cold, unflinching mother of Rose Dewitt Bukater, Ruth is hanging by a thread. On the brink of financial ruin, she is desperate to marry off her daughter to keep the family name out of dirty, peasant mouths of those within her social circle. Ruth is a consummate pretender, desperate to stay relevant and rich, no matter the cost. She’s prim, proper… and a stone cold bitch. She’ll do whatever it takes to be on top, whether it’s laughing at Cal’s bad jokes, slapping her daughter relentlessly, or delivering the most dramatic, Meryl Streep-esque monologue about the sacrifices of being woman. Please prepare a refined, upper class accent for Ruth. PLEASE NOTE: Not looking for full drag here, just a hint. A pearl necklace or gloves will do. LOOKING FOR STRONG VOCALS AND INCREDIBLE IMPROV SKILLS. (VOCAL RANGE: Baritone)
VICTOR GARBER (CAST) – Male, 30s-40s. Victor Garber is the polished and perfected designer of the Titanique. Handsome, refined and proud of his baby, he believes it will be no problem at all to speed the ship up and get to Fire Island a few days early. A true leader, he takes over all duties aboard Titanique and ends up steering the ship straight into the Iceberg, where he meets… The Iceberg Bitch. A prideful man, he insists upon staying on the boat until the bitter end. Looking for comedy and improv chops. Feel free to make things your own or ad lib if it says so in the script. Please prepare an upper class accent or slight Irish lilt for Victor Garber. MUST BE A STRONG DANCER/ MOVER. MUST HAVE HIGH TENOR POP VOCALS (VOCAL RANGE: Tenor, Belts To A Bb)
ROSE DEWITT BUKATER (CAST) – Female, 20s-30s Rose Dewitt Bukater is the beautiful ingenue and star crossed lover aboard the Titanique. She is gorgeous, poised, and elegant – but underneath her corset bubbles a fire of rebellion. When she meets her extremely hot yet extremely poor polar opposite Jack Dawson, she knows she must break off her engagement to her fiancee, Cal Hockley – even if it costs her her life. Nothing will stop her from loving Jack, not even as the Titanique is sinking, or a full blown murder attempt by Cal. Rose can be stubborn, wily and a borderline psychopath, but everything she does is for love. MUST HAVE INCREDIBLE POP VOCALS AND STRONG IMPROV SKILLS. (VOCAL RANGE: Belts to a D, Mix to an F)
