Position: Group Sales Supervisor

Department: Group Sales

Reports to: Director of Outbound Sales

Status: Exempt

The Hollywood Pantages Theatre has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated theatre lover with strong customer service, supervisory and sales experience.

The full time benefitted position will work directly with the Director of Outbound Sales to develop the group sales team with the goal of increasing group sales revenue and exceeding sales goals.

Ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player eager to provide excellent customer service in an effort to foster current relationships as well as developing new ones.

Duties will include supervising and motivating an outbound sales team as well as:


  • Facilitating and streamlining established group sales policies and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency.


  • Assisting in creation of annual strategic sales plans to increase group sales revenue from established and new clients including: corporate and tourism leaders as well as resident, education and social group influencers.


  • General phone sales.


  • Assisting in identifying new opportunities for capturing new group sales from local corporations, meetings/hospitality professionals, visiting travel groups, education leaders, local HOA and resident managers etc. through various platforms including social media.


  • Networking with potential clients through out of office sales meetings, attendance at trade and local business events as well as social and specialty group functions.


  • Assisting in development of current and new community partnerships with local business and current restaurant/hospitality partners to develop packages to enhance the group experience and create cross selling opportunities.


  • Assist in planning and implementation of group events aimed at targeting new audiences.


  • Processing sales orders and monitoring customer experience.


  • Plan new programs to increase sales leads and opportunities.


  • Generating sales leads from existing databases including past season group patrons.


  • Developing new relationships by attending community, social group events and trade shows.


  • Developing a full understanding of Ticketmaster capabilities including but not limited to Group Manager Technology.


  • Continuous training, coaching and motivating of Group Sales Associates.


  • Accurate record keeping.


  • Additional duties as required.



Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position will directly supervise a minimum of 2 group Sales Associates.


Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 4 year college degree preferred.


  • Previous sales experience.


  • Supervisory experience and ability to motivate staff.


  • Motivated, pro-active and willing to think outside of the box.


  • Detail oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.


  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed.


  • Knowledge of theatre.


  • Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Outlook.)


  • Archtics knowledge a plus.


Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
