Music Theatre of Connecticut, currently in its 33rd season, is located in a beautiful theatre center in Norwalk, CT. The company has won numerous “Best” awards and Connecticut Crtitics’ Circle Award Nominations, including the prestigious Killen Award for Outstanding Contribution to Professional Theatre, joining Long Wharf, Hartford Stage and the Westport Playhouse.

40’ – 60’s, married to Kate, empty-nester, loving husband and financier, loving, well-meaning but dissatisfied, owner of their dog Sylvia
KATE:
40’s – 60’s, married to Greg, mother, intelligent and driven, confused by Greg and his obsession with their dog
SYLVIA:
20’s – 30’s, Greg and Kate’s dog who was found by Greg in Central Park, very physical role. Sylvia is smart, exuberant, feminine, funny, sassy, foul-mouthed, devoted, playful
TOM*:
30’s – 50’s, friendly fellow dog owner, opinionated, wry
PHYLLIS*:
50’s, drag role, New York socialite, elitist, WASP-y, alcoholic, ridiculous, conservative
LESLIE*:
40’s – 50’s, male therapist, authoritative, conciliatory, androgynous
*Tom, Phyllis and Leslie are all played by the same actor
