Casting a musical adaptation of “Snow White”, as part of the 92nd Street Y’s Theater for Young Audiences Season. Seeking strong dancers who are proficient at contemporary movement and have strong jazz technique. Strong tap technique is a plus. Also seeking strong singer-dancers. All cast members must be able to move as movement is a large component of our storytelling. Character acting/voices a plus.
Blanche Alabaster a.k.a. Snow White. The new student, a skier and champion speller. Strong Singer/Dancer.
Rose Redmond. An efficient student council president type. Strong Dancer/Singer.
Georgia Augusta Regina Kingsley. The Queen of the Bee of school. Strong Dancer/ Singer with a TYA-friendly villainous quality.
Ms. Bellamy. A teacher. Strong Dancer/ Singer with adult authority.
The Seven Dwarfs
Tasker– an efficient dwarf leader
Squeaky– excessive energy pushes pitch
Sneaky- ((stealthy ((shhh))))
Tumbler- whose feet are a challenge
Chatty- very extremely loquacious with an awful lot to say at all times
Batty- a little crazy! (but in a good way)
Asker- is there a question?
Seeking strong dancers/ character actors who are willing to make BIG choices and play.
Submit to book an audition appointment. Prepare an up-tempo 32 bars appropriate for TYA. All will dance/move first.
