Equity is committed to diversity and encourages all its employers to engage in a policy of equal employment opportunity designed to promote a positive model of inclusion. As such, Equity encourages performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, and ages, as well as performers with disabilities, to submit.
Submissions from AEA members for various roles. See breakdown.
[LOGAN] Female-identifying or non-binary femme presenting, any age. The high school drama teacher that’s always pushing the envelope in potentially inappropriate ways. Earnest about theater and proving herself. Actors of all ethnic backgrounds are strongly encouraged to submit.
[JAXTON] Male-identifying or nonbinary masc presenting, any age. A yoga practitioner/actor. Politically correct to a fault, a big one. He’s that confident guy everyone loves, but his logical PC thinking takes weird turns. Actors of all ethnic backgrounds are strongly encouraged to submit.
[ALICIA] Female, brunette, any age. Has looks that would have been cast as ethnic in 1950’s movies. Without guile. Sexy and hot, but not bright. Actors of all ethnic backgrounds are strongly encouraged to submit.
[CADEN] Male, any age. The academic. Awkward elementary school history teacher with dramatic aspirations but no experience. Actors of all ethnic backgrounds are strongly encouraged to submit.
Story line: Four earnestly progressive theatre-makers want to create a politically correct Thanksgiving play that is historically accurate, avoids all possible stereotypes and doesn’t offend anyone. Guess how long it takes for everything to fly off the rails? This wickedly hilarious satire hurtles into glorious chaos, skewering both its characters’ pretensions and the traditional “Thanksgiving story.”
