COMMUNITY PRODUCER, TARGET MARGIN THEATER
Target Margin Theater (TMT) seeks a Community Producer to join our leadership team in running our 7,400 square-foot raw industrial performance space in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The space is home to our upstairs office, two rehearsal studios and main ground floor theater, THE DOXSEE.
The Community Producer will work under Artistic Director David Herskovits and Associate Artistic Director Moe Yousuf to cultivate and sustain new and existing partnerships with local organizations, schools and business; and develop, design, and produce community programs and theatrical live performances in Southwest Brooklyn.
Real experience in production, arts administration, community organizing / social justice, and knowledge of issues facing the local Sunset Park community are essential, as well as an adventurous artistic sensibility. This position requires attention to detail, ability to implement / maintain systems of organization, and management of a rotating group of staff / volunteers. We CHALLENGE the idea that “administrators” are not “artists” and strive to connect every person at Target Margin meaningfully to the artwork we create and program.
This is a full time position with some nights / weekends required (depending on programming). Salary is $45,000 a year, plus benefits. TMT is especially committed to equity, diversity and inclusion and we strongly encourage applicants of color, of all gender identities, and of different ages and abilities, to apply.
