Casting SAMANTHA in Jung & Crazy, a one-act (50-minute) dark comedy, at the 38th Annual Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival (world premiere).

When Samantha barges in on her new psychiatrist complaining of severe anxiety, she finds him dealing with his own problems–only made worse when he unwittingly awakens the ghost of his hero, Carl Jung. As Samantha’s secrets are revealed, however, doctor and patient switch roles, leading to unexpected breakthroughs for both.

SAMANTHA (Lead): 27-34, any ethnicity
A 30-year old woman, likeable, going through a tough time. A paralegal seeking treatment for severe anxiety with unknown causes. 

Rehearsal & Production Dates/Locations
Rehearses for approximately 40 hours, July 24 through August 10, in Manhattan (Harlem & Midtown) and Brooklyn (Bed-Stuy); performs August 14 to 25 in Edmonton, Canada. Possible extension to August 31.

Contract & Compensation Details
Non-union contract. Pays $300 total stipend (for approximately 2.5 weeks of rehearsal and 1 week of performance) or 1/5th of net profit share from ticket sales (whichever is greater). Travel and housing provided.

Auditions & Submission Instructions
Auditions will be held on July 16th & 17th in NYC by invitation only. For consideration, please submit your headshot, resume, and a demo reel; if no demo reel is available, please record a video of you performing any comedic monologue (under 2 minutes). Sides will be provided to those who are invited to audition.
