The St. Bart’s Players
New York, NY 10022

Job Details

The St. Bart’s Players, New York City’s longest-running, nonprofit community theatre group is seeking an experienced Director/Choreographer for this season’s fall production of The Drowsy Chaperone.  Salary is $2,000. The show will run November 5th- 10th for 7 performances at the Off-Broadway John Cullum Theatre on West 54th Street in NYC. Auditions will be in early September, and we generally rehearse 3 evenings a week (7-10 pm) and one weekend day (for 5 hours) initially, and add rehearsals as needed.

Interviews will be conducted by appointment only. We are aiming to meet candidates on the evening of Wed, May 8th at St. Bart’s Church on 50thand Park. Please send your cover letter, resume, 3 references, availability for May 8th and any potential conflicts ASAP, and no later than April 26th to Melissa Broder ([email protected]). No phone calls please.

Please share briefly what the show creatively sparks in you. How would you interpret setting and staging (particularly how would you handle the airplane at the end of the show on a tight budget)? We will look forward to candidates expanding their vision for the show with us if selected for an interview.
