Award Winning Theatre Company- Rising Sun Performance Company is Seeking
Talented Production & Design Staff for Upcoming NYC Premiere Play

We are looking to fill the following positions immediately:
Costume Designer
Sound Designer
Projection Designer
Lighting Designer (with Board Programming responsibilities)
Carpenter/Set Builder
Technical Director (with some driving responsibilities and possible light set building/assembly)

Time Commitment & Required Dates:

Cast & Crew needs to have availability March 1st through May 20th 2019
Bi- Weekly Productions Meetings begin March 1st

Rehearsals will begin the week of March 1st and run through May 2nd

Rehearsals locations will vary and will be in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Governors Island and Long Island City

Friendly’s Fire Tech & Performance Schedule:

Load In, Tech & Dress: April 29th through May 2nd
17 Performances, May 3rd through May 19th 2019 (Evenings & Some Matinees)
Load out TBD Either May 19th , 20th or 21st

Venue: Theatre at the 14th Street Y 344 E 14th St, New York, NY 10003

Also Seeking a Production Manager or Technical Director to help with Tech Rehearsal and Production Logistics.  Would need to rent and drive a van for load in and load out, and have some very light set building/assembly responsibilities

All designers should be comfortable working in a shared theatre space, possible shared rep lighting plot. Storage and dressing rooms are also shared.  Lighting designer should be comfortable working with Rep Plot and adding inventive and creative practical and added instrument solutions.

Candidates MUST be willing to work in a collaborative environment in a grassroots level Non-Profit Theatre Company, have Talent, Creativity, and Flexibility. Particularly looking for theatre artists who are capable of and enjoy working within the limitations and unique challenges of OOBR/Indie theatre spaces & budgets.

Ideal candidates must be extremely self- motivated, and organized while also being flexible. Have strong creative ability, with great communication skills. Ability to maintain and work within a small budget and meet deadlines, work under pressure and work well within a team environment.
Excellent computer literacy, attention to detail and great people skills.
