The Growing Stage Theatre is located in northwestern New Jersey and no regular mass transportation is available. Own transportation is strongly recommended.

SEEKING
A world premiere adaptation of the classic African American folk hero JOHN HENRY. He is said to have worked as a “steel-driving man”—a man tasked with hammering a steel drill into rock to make holes for explosives to blast the rock in constructing a railroad tunnel.. Roles include JOHN HENRY; POLLY ANN – John Henry’s wife; DAN FLYNN, John’s Irish American friend and co-worker; AGNES BLIGH, Dan’s fiancee. There will be 4 AEA contracts available.
