Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA) serves three primary roles: it is the world’s leading presenter of superb artistic programming, is a national leader in arts education and community relations, and functions as the manager of the Lincoln Center campus, which is home to 11 separate resident organizations. LCPA presents over 350 performances annually throughout our different performance series including American Songbook, Great Performers, Live from Lincoln Center, Mostly Mozart Festival, Midsummer Night Swing, Lincoln Center Out of Doors and White Light Festival.
In addition, LCPA supports an array of programs for Lincoln Center Education including its community and family programming. Further, LCPA supports initiatives related to events at the David Rubenstein Atrium, LC Kids, as well as numerous key institutional initiatives and projects.
The Planning and Development team works to galvanize financial support for Lincoln Center’s programming and initiatives, garnering contributions from generous individuals, foundations, corporations and government entities to support Lincoln Center’s mission.
Working as part of LCPA’s Planning and Development team, the Executive Assistant will provide support to the Executive Vice President, Chief Development Officer. The primary focus of this position will be to support and manage the Office of the Chief Development Officer, providing crucial administrative and project management support to the EVP as well as the department at large.
Support the Chief Development Officer’s office, serving as the first point of contact and representative for the Chief Development Officer and fielding both internal and external requests
Provide essential administrative support, including managing the Chief Development Officer’s complex calendar, assisting with correspondence, processing invoices and expenses, and preparing agendas and meeting materials
Assist with off-site event and meeting support, including coordinating logistics or confirming details related to donor functions, lunch meetings, and travel arrangements
Process departmental accounts payable, subscriptions and dues; order supplies; prepare and maintain weekly attendance reports; and sort departmental mail.
Assure Chief Development Officer is fully briefed for meetings and receives requested information in a timely manner
Assist with general office duties, including mailings, document review, and proofreading
Communicate with Lincoln Center board as needed
Provide support for Lincoln Center donors and supporters
Improve and implement workflow systems within the department
5-7 years of administrative experience in a high functioning office required
Prior experience in a fundraising or development office is highly desirable but not required
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; high emotional intelligence and ability to leverage relationship building abilities in order to further organizational goals
Strong customer service skills; a ‘no task too big or too small’ attitude.
Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Flexible and able to seamlessly change course or problem solve when necessary
Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
Interest in performing arts or arts administration strongly preferred
Must be available to work some evenings or extended hours as needed in order to support Lincoln Center fundraising activities
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
