CLASSIC STAGE COMPANY, an award-winning Off-Broadway theater, seeks a part-time House Manager to work closely with the Box Office to ensure the safety and satisfaction of audience. Duties include but are not limited to: Assisting in opening and closing the house during performances, running a concise intermission, handling late seating, assisting in accessibility issues & special seating arrangements. House manager creates house and ticketing reports at the end of each event, supervises and trains new volunteer ushers, and helps to maintain a clean theater and lobby spaces.


Applicant must have knowledge of fire code regulation and a fireguard card is required.  Must be responsible, mature, and punctual, have a high degree of problem-solving skills; think on your feet while calmly controlling emergency situations.  Strong communication and language skills required.  Candidate must be customer service oriented and friendly.  Retail, customer service and/or basic first aid skills a plus. Must be able to work at least three performances a week, including nights, some holidays, and weekends. Applicant must be available beginning January – March.
