CE Roster: Zero Shades of Gray; Maximize Your Buzz; Get a Life; Grit
Easton, PA 18042
Collegiate Empowerment is an educational production company creating something entirely new within the higher education sector. CE offers performance events across the country on life changing topics like alcohol safety (Maximize Your Buzz), sexual assault and consent (Zero Shades of Gray), campus involvement (Get a Life), and resiliency (Grit), and so many more. Each of these is script based but requires improv and vulnerability, as well as an engaging personality from its performer; it involves multimedia and relies on personalization and audience connection. It allows the performer to make a difference in many lives using his craft, while focusing on the students and the message. As CE’s productions are in ever higher demand, its roster must expand.
We need diverse, high-energy, and motivated actors to join Collegiate Empowerment’s roster of performers!
Looking for actors who wish to make a difference with their talent and art through personal stories, education, and leadership, particularly on the topics we serve. Our performers are energetic, flexible, and open minded, ready to perform for an audience of a thousand (really) or 6, whatever is needed.
Must have flexible scheduling and be willing to travel, as engagements occur beyond the contiguous US and are on a contract basis. Availability during peak season of August/September is imperative. Minimal and non-consecutive rehearsals, so a strong work ethic is essential, as is self-motivation. Proficiency with computers/projectors/powerpoint a plus. Must have a valid driver’s license, passport a bonus.
CE seeks performers of all socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, welcoming anyone of any sexual orientation or gender, including trans or non-binary.
First Rehearsals will begin in April, TBD based on incoming roster.
Company Rehearsals May 8 and 9 in Princeton, NJ (travel, lodging, partial food covered by company)
2 Rehearsals over the summer
Availability August 12th-September 8th Highly recommended for maximum performance opportunity
Minimum of $150/performance plus $50 per diem. Payment increases as you do more performances, up to $750/performance. Rehearsals paid, travel and lodging covered.
